Sensory Beings: Internal Garden
Internal Garden will enable people with complex disabilities to explore and connect with UK plant collections ,based on their preferred vibration sequences using MIDI Sprout & SUBPAC technology.
Visitor Information
Sessions will be coproduced by sound artist Justin Wiggan & people with complex disabilities. He will explore MIDI interface to register impulses and interactions of plants and participants. Using Subpac vests he will send the plant signals from the MIDI Sprout into the human body as a vibration, giving the group an immersive physical sensation.The final installation will be exhibited at TouchBase Pears & Birmingham Botanical Garden.
Get involved
The final installation will be open to the general public at both venues. 5 - 7 September installed at Birmingham Botanical Garden
9 – 14 September at Sense Touchbase Pears. The piece will be open to everyone but we will particularly welcome audience members with complex disabilities. The installation will be free to visit.
